Campfire

You are here:

El Rancho, on Clark Avenue across from Safeway and next to Rite Aid, was my dream come true. The kids were happy and made friends in school, we were all safe and secure. The Campfire of 11-8-2018 took our home, the business, the school, and our whole community scattered to the wind. People helped us put a roof over our heads with an RV that we are very grateful for. Let me tell you, three kids, pets, and parents all crammed into one RV didn’t last too long though. We made it somehow! The kids decided they wanted to return to Paradise, and we dug our heals in and returned with the clothes on our backs and few belongings. I am so proud of them and want to watch them flourish as our family and town recover.

I did my best to help others alongside the wonderful people at church. Helping our neighbors was really the only way to feel human again. I needed to find a way to do something to help, to be a big part of making sure people had food and basic needs. As you know, that is my passion! Every day I pray for each one of us to grow stronger and stronger.

I am dedicated to each one of us finding our strength, regaining our security and safety, and rebuilding our dreams. We love Paradise and the Ridge! We are here to stay!
